Morning All

July 5, 2008

Good morning. This is my first July post. WOW! I still haven’t changed my McFly calender to July. I should probably do that. It might be Dougie. Lol.

Today is Saturday and I’m lucky enough to have to stay at home because someone from BT is going to phone to set up the network for us. Stupid BT, I could do it myself if they didn’t have any sort of restrictions, etc. I feel bored because of this.

Last night I finished watching Amelie. We were watching it in French but we didn’t finish it. Calum kindly told me it was on More4 last night so I went to watch it. Good film. I think lots of people should watch it. Audrey Tatou is an excellent actress. I thought so anyway. I usually dislike subtitle films but I liked Amelie. Haha.

My mother woke me up this morning by screaming and shouting about how I hadn’t washed the dishes properly and how I hadn’t swept the floor. And then she screamed at Ting or Tom, I don’t know which, because they didn’t bring down my Dad’s cup from upstairs. Why couldn’t she or he do it themselves??? She never has anything good to say that woman, always something to complain about which leaves me in a bad mood for the rest of the day. She’s the reason I hate coming home after school. If she knows I’m not there she can’t blame me, but if I am then she’ll scream at me.

I’ll stop complaining. She is my mother after all…

Anyway, lets move on. I bought Super Smash Brothers Brawl not long ago. It’s an awesome game. I thought so anyway. It’s much better with the Wii remotes than the GC controller. It’s more fun, but some people who are loyal GC players would rather use the the controller. Haha. I’m really bad at the game though. I always fall off and I never know how to kill people. Meh, it’s fun to play.

I forgot to watch Hollyoaks yesterday. :( Sorry for the lack of updates these days. Blog posts aren’t common occurences for me anymore. They’re more common in me than others though. Haha. I’ll try and update more about Hollyoaks next week.

I’m finished now :)

Afternoon Bloggers

June 29, 2008

Afternoon fellow bloggers.

I thought I’d write a blog post to boost my views but I’m not sure which part of current affairs is most popular. So I don’t care anymore. Earlier I was curious as to who had won the losers match. I still haven’t found out, haha. Germany V. Spain later. I might actually watch this match. It could be interesting, it could be really crap? I guess we’ll just have to wait and see.

I’m reading the news at the moment. I’ve discovered that Bill Gates is going to step down from being leader of Microsoft! What’s happening to the world?! To be honest, Windows aren’t all that great anyway so I’m sure it’ll be no great loss. He’s a very clever and sucessful man, I hope wonderous things happen with his company.

Here’s the article for those of you who are interested. Watch the video, it is rather humourous.

The weather said today is going to rain. I don’t believe them, but we’ll wait and see.

OMG! I was playing Mario Kart Wii on WiFi earlier. It was pretty awesome. Everyone is on the same level so it’s relatively difficult but also managable. My poor brother didn’t do too well but I managed to stay in the top half most of the time. Apart from in Rainbow Road. I hate that course.

I caught up on Hollyoaks yesterday. I cried at Friday’s C4 episode. I can’t believe Max is dead :( On his wedding day to Steph too. But I’m glad Tom’s alive. I hope Steph looks after him well, and I hope Mandy stays. Gutted on JP and Keiron on being found out. Haha.

Well, apart from that I believe I have nothing else to say. I’m going to dry my hair and play some more Mario Kart methinks.

Yaaaay! I’m back from London everyone. I’m sure you’re all glad that I’m back. I don’t think anyone cares as no one ever reads my blog. Phil might, but who knows? Calum’s computer is still broken so he can’t read it either. Oh dear!

Anyway, London was fun. Went up Tuesday afternoon and arrived for dinner at Ali’s friends house…it’s a long story but they weren’t family, but lovely people. We had some Indian dinner, slightly spicy but do-able. It was yummy. I think we just went to bed after that. We watched an episode of friends before that though. We did that every night. It became a ritual.

Wednesday was UCL open day. I didn’t like it much. The atmosphere wasn’t great. Who plays music at the entrance of a university!? It was silly. The computer science admissions guy was also really boring. The only good thing is the opportunity to study abroad. After UCL we planned on going to Regents park, but we took a detour and went to Madam Tussauds. The queue was really long and boring but inside it was quite interesting. Some waxworks were really good, others were REALLY bad. We took some photos. You should look at them on my Facebook. So yeh, that was good. We went home after that. Had dinner at a strangers house and watched the football with 2 boys. They weren’t very talkative. Oh well.

Thursday was Imperial College open day. Much preferred Imperial. It was a really nice place with really nice helpful people. The computer science department was mixed with Maths. That’s all right. I didn’t specifically go see computer science but oh well. The give me the opportunity to do a Joint Degree in Maths and Computer Science which is nice. Accomodation was good too. Much better than UCL overall. After the open day Me and Al went to St James’ park. Well we were going too, but there was a Starbucks right outside the station so we got ourselves some starbucks. Then we saw a sign to Buckingham palace so we went there. It was really big, we think the Queen was home. Then we went to Green Park and got some food and finally we went to St James’ park where Al lost her sock. It was funny. And after THAT, we went to Victoria Street and I bought some new sunglasses. THEN we went to Southbank and had dinner at Strada. It was yummy there too.

That was a really long paragraph, I should have broken that down some how, meh, I can’t be bothered.

Birmingham was yesterday. It was really nice there. Basically Cardiff university but prettier and more campus-ey. The computer science building was sexy. They had a robotics demonstration which didn’t work which was funny. Some guy called Tom gave me a tour of the building. They cleverly split the Linux computers from the Windows computers. They have a nice common room and the builiding looked clean. Haha. It was nice a modern. I prefer it to Cardiff. Went home after that.

Calum came over about half an hour after I got back. We made pasta and cheesy sauce. It went a bit wrong but it was yummy all the same. Haha. I missed him after the 2 days I was gone. That’s quite lame. Oh well. Swansea Uni open day soon.

Loser’s match tonight. Turkey v Russia. I don’t care about the losers match.
